तमिलनाडु: सनसनीखेज सेक्स स्कैंडल कांड में आरोपी महिला कॉलेज की प्रोफेसर को मद्रास हाईकोर्ट ने गिरफ्तारी के 11 महीने बाद सशर्त जमानत दी है. मदुरैई बेंच के जस्टिस एन किरूबाकरण और एसएस सुंदर ने निलंबित असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर निर्मला देवी को जमानत दी है. प्रोफेसर पर आरोप है कि वह महिला छात्राओं को मदुरैई कामराज यूनिवर्सिटी के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों के साथ शारीरिक संबंध बनाने के लिए अच्छे नंबर और पैसों का लालच देती थी. सरकारी वकील ने कोर्ट में कहा कि उन्हें जमानत देने पर कोई एतराज नहीं है. कोर्ट ने प्रोफेसर को पुलिस के साथ जांच में पूरा सहयोग करने के निर्देश दिए हैं और मीडिया में किसी तरह का इंटरव्यू देने से मना किया, जिससे जांच प्रभावित हो.

इससे पहले निचली कोर्ट और हाईकोर्ट ने जमानत याचिका खारिज कर दी थी. प्राइवेट कॉलेज देवंगा आर्ट्स कॉलेज की प्रोफेसर देवी को पिछले साल 16 अप्रैल को गिरफ्तार किया गया था. प्रोफेसर का छात्राओं के साथ बातचीत का एक ऑडियो वायरल होने के बाद कॉलेज और एक महिला फोरम की शिकायत पर उसके खिलाफ कार्रवाई हुई थी. ऑडियो क्लिप में प्रोफेसर कथित रूप से कुछ अधिकारियों के साथ छात्राओं को 'एडस्ट' करने की सलाह दे रही थीं.
